CTI Logistics help reach milestone - 100,000 items donated
Logistics company trucks pre-loved sports equipment to support regional communities.
Sometime towards the end of 2024, Fair Game, will reach the major milestone of donating the 100,000th piece of preloved sports equipment through its Equip for Sport program. This will add one more person to the tens of thousands in WA this program has helped to keep fit and active since 2011. CTI Logistics, a major national transport and logistics company, have played a major part in enabling Fair Game to realise this milestone.
“Our core business is connecting Australian communities, bridging the vast distances between them through our transport and logistics services. Sharing Fair Game’s vision to support community wellbeing, we also have a clear understanding of the challenges posed by remoteness. We are delighted to have been able to leverage our resources to support the communities we serve, through our partnership with Fair Game.” says CTI Director Owen Venter.
In their Bassendean depot, CTI provide warehouse space - crucial to processing and storing the donated sports equipment - as well as office space for the Fair Game team. Free transportation for equipment donations to CTI depots in Broome, Port Hedland, Newman, Karratha, Kalgoorlie, Geraldton and Bunbury is also provided. This service massively increases the program’s reach, making it possible for many more remote communities to access sports equipment from Fair Game.
“We are proud of our history of supporting Fair Game which reflects our wish as an organisation to make the future brighter for generations to come.” continues Owen.
Fair Game’s CEO Nicki Bardwell adds, “We are excited to reach this incredible milestone. This wouldn’t have been possible without CTI Logistics long term commitment to Fair Game which has played a fundamental role in sustainably growing the reach and impact of our programs. CTI’s support has helped many thousands of people across WA to access sports equipment, making a real difference to their ability to keep active and healthy.”
