CTI Logistics leverages its resources to build a brighter future.
“We are proud of our history of supporting Fair Game which reflects our wish as an organisation to make the future brighter for generations to come.”
CTI is an ASX listed transport and logistics provider that celebrated 50 years in business in 2023. It has supported Fair Game’s Equip for Sport program, which distributes pre-loved sports equipment to underserviced communities across WA, since 2015.
In their Bassendean depot, CTI provide warehouse space - crucial to processing and storing the donated sports equipment - as well as office space for the Fair Game team. Transportation for equipment donations to regional centres across WA is also provided utilising spare capacity in its logistics business. This service massively increases the program’s reach, making it possible for many more remote communities to access sports equipment from Fair Game.
“Our core business is connecting Australian communities, bridging the vast distances between them through our transport and logistics services. Sharing Fair Game’s vision to support community wellbeing, we also have a clear understanding of the challenges posed by remoteness. We are delighted to have been able to leverage our resources to support the communities we serve, through our partnership with Fair Game.”
CTI Director Owen Venter.
Staff engagement is at the core of Melchor Contracting’s support for Fair Game.
Corporate Volunteering
“Melchor’s contribution to Fair Game is aligned with the commitments of our Aboriginal Engagement plan to support initiatives which empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.”
We chose to support Fair Game as they provide sports equipment to both children in remote Aboriginal communities along with disadvantaged youth in the greater Perth area, which would otherwise not normally be available to them. Not only has sport been recognised as a contributing factor to building healthy lifestyles in individuals, but it’s also instrumental in drawing communities together.
Fair Game offered our team opportunities for our staff to be meaningfully involved in this support, which is very important to us as an organisation.”
Melchor’s support for Fair Game’s Equip for Sport program started in January 2023. Groups of employees regularly attend ‘busy bees’ at Fair Game’s warehouse, helping to clean and sort the thousands of items of donated equipment. Fair Game branded donation bins are also hosted at Melchor’s sites in Western Australia, raising awareness of the program while also collecting equipment for the program.
Staff enthusiasm for the partnership, was clearly demonstrated when in October 2023, a team of seven employees abseiled 130m down the Central Park building in Perth. The team, dressed as Where’s Wally, raised over $12,000 for Fair Game.
“Melchor is committed to bringing about positive change in Aboriginal communities. Healthy Bodies = Healthy Minds = Healthy Communities. We are delighted to be able to make a practical contribution to this through our partnership with Fair Game.”
