We want everyone to be able to enjoy getting active.

If you have sports shoes or equipment that are still in good clean useable condition, we would like to give them to someone who needs them.  With your help we can equip people to get moving.

See our FAQ below to find out what and where to donate.

Please note we do not collect end of life items for recycling.

Thank you!

FAQs

If you have questions please check our FAQ first.

If you can’t find the answer you need please email us at warehouse@fairgame.org.au

  • Please remember that we are giving these items to someone else to enjoy.  Items need to be in good useable condition.

We do not collect end of life items for recycling.

We are able to replace laces and insoles on shoes, and grips on racquets/bats, but if the item is otherwise broken or worn out we will not be able to give it to someone else to use.

Please be mindful that equipment design and materials continue to evolve and improve over the years, so if it is a vintage piece it is unlikely to be suitable for current use.

We are always in need of good condition:

    • AFL footballs, soccer balls, basketballs

    • Footy boots

    • Soccer shin pads

    • Runners/sneakers

    • Tee ball bats, mitts and balls

    • Track shoes

    • Cones

    • Boxing gloves/focus pads

    • Dodgeballs

    • Large sports bags in good condition (eg. Cricket bags)

    • Smaller backpacks, in good condition only

    • Unused drink bottles

There are a range of other items that we get requests for so if you have equipment you think we can use, don’t hesitate to contact us.  Please first check the list below of items we are unable to accept.

Unfortunately we cannot accept the following items:

    • Sports clothing and uniforms (except team sets of bibs)

    • Trophies or medals

    • Hats

    • Used drink bottles

    • Large items such as fitness machines, bikes etc.

    • Archery items or other ‘weapons'

    • Any item that is broken, worn out or not suitable for current use eg.old style tennis rackets.

  • You can help us by dropping your pre-loved sports equipment into one of the Fair Game bins which are located across Perth. Our donation bins are bright blue so you can’t miss them! Click here to view Bin Locations

Equipment can also be dropped directly to our office at:

339 Collier Road, Bassendean, 6054 WA, in the CTI Logistics building.

There is a blue Fair Game bin located outside the office where you can place donations at any time. If you have a large donation or valuable donation please come when the office is open:

Office open hours: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday between 9.30am and 4.00pm.

Our staff work part time – to ensure someone is there to receive your donation it is essential to email warehouse@fairgame.org.au to confirm a drop off time.

We are unable to pay for collection of items so please consider how you will get equipment to us before organising a donation drive.

  • If the donation is too large to leave in one of our blue collection bins or you have any other questions, please email us a warehouse@fairgame.org.au and our team will respond as soon as we can.

  • We are unfortunately unable to fund the transportation of donations from outside of WA.

We would love to accept your donations of any good condition, high turnover items including footballs, soccer balls, basketballs and football boots. If you are financially positioned to be able to pay for the transport, please contact us to discuss details.

Otherwise we suggest donating items to your local opshop.

  • No.  We are unable to accept clothing donations as we don’t receive many requests for these items.

You may like to consider sending items to Kit Bag for Kids or other organisations such as Good Samaritans or St. Vincent de Paul.

The exception is team sets of bibs for soccer, netball and basketball which we would welcome.  We also always require footy boots and runners/sneakers.

  • Fantastic!  Junior football/soccer boots, runners/sneakers, AFL balls, basketballs and soccer balls are our most requested items for donation. Running collection drives at your sporting club is a great way to collect these items.  Click here for a digital poster that you can print to help promote your collection drive.  Click here for some of our top tips to help you organise your drive.  If you would like any further information to help you with your collection drive please email us at warehouse@fairgame.org.au

If you are a school, you may like to run a Be a Sporting Hero Free Dress Day. Click here for further information.

If you are located outside Perth please note that we cannot pay for delivery of items to our Bassendean storage facility.

Why not call your local newspaper for a photo opportunity to celebrate the success of your collection drive.

  • That would be fantastic!  We have a special program for schools that you can get involved in.

The Be a Sporting Hero  Free Dress Day encourages the involvement of all students in supporting Fair Game.  Students make a gold coin donation to come dressed as their sporting hero (or in team colours) to school.  They also bring along any unwanted or outgrown sports equipment or shoes to donate.  They become heroes themselves through their donations, which allow another child to enjoy taking part in sport.  Find out more here

  • We ask that your donations be in good, clean condition, because they are going to a second home and therefore need to be functional and durable.

We are able to replace grips on racquets and bats as well as insoles and laces on runners/boots, if they are in otherwise good functional condition.

Please be mindful that equipment design and materials continue to evolve and improve over the years, so if it is a vintage piece it is unlikely to be suitable for current use.

  • We are not able to supply individual photos, however if you follow us @fairgameaustralia on Instagram and Facebook you will be able to see many of the beneficiaries of this program.

  • We are always looking for potential recipients for our equipment as we love to help people get active.  We are currently only able to meet requests in WA.

Please read our Request Equipment FAQ for more details and then fill in a Wish List Form.

Please note that we are unable to pay for shipping.  Thanks to the generous support of CTI Logistics, we are able to ship requests to the following centres to make it easier for collection for you: Broome, Port Hedland, Karratha, Newman, Geraldton, Bunbury and Kalgoorlie.

  • Rebel Sport stores offer recycling for sports and active lifestyle footwear and inflatable balls via the TreadLightly national recycling initiative.
