About the Artist

Antahlia Thomas

Antahlia is a young Nyangumarta Pitjikarli woman from the PIlbara region of Western Australia. She works as a teaching assistant at Strelley Community School and is actively involved in Fair Game sessions whenever they are held in the community. She enjoys spending time out bush and is inspired by the colours of her country when making her art.

In this artwork, blue represents waterholes and the brown represents the people, walking and moving from waterhole to waterhole. Water forms the lifeblood of existence and the constant search for it is depicted here.

A commission on sales of items featuring this artwork is paid directly to the artist.
