Keeping the runs coming over the holidays with bats galore!

Team Connect WA is an award winning community engagement program that uses cricket to connect with vulnerable teenage girls. Each year at the beginning of the season Team Connect collect heaps of pre-loved bats, pads, gloves and balls (and bags to keep it all in!) from the Fair Game warehouse, to kit out the teams. In December they hold an annual Gala Day at the WACA where all the teams come together join in some cricket activities at the home of WA cricket before enjoying a celebratory lunch. Each girl then chooses a bat that she can keep, to encourage them to keep having some cricket fun with friends and family during the holidays.

Many of the bats are donated from Fair Game and are all re-gripped and ready to play. With a beautiful message attached to each bat they definitely get some big smiles!
