India's Story, Volunteer – Fair Game

VOLUNTEER

India’s Story

I’ve been with Fair Game for almost three years now and during that time have been to about 15 different communities to run programs as a volunteer! Once I heard about Fair Game, I knew I had to be a part of it since previously I had volunteered at a small remote school in Mulan in the Kimberley for a few months and absolutely adored and still treasure that experience.

I genuinely live a pretty active lifestyle between going to the gym, playing netball, swimming and soon to be a cricket star, so I enjoy nothing more than going out to different communities and running around, playing sports and keeping active with the kids.

By trade I am an early childhood and primary teacher, however at the moment I am just doing casual relief teaching and working as a nanny whilst I wait to start my masters.

I’ve loved having the opportunity through Fair Game to visit different remote schools and talk to both teachers, principals and students, as a long term goal of mine is to teach remote. Fair Game has also heavily influenced my desire to do my masters in international and community development!
